The Aether Awakens (Bonds of Dissonance)

Years after negotiating her freedom from service, a reluctant paladin is summoned back to duty during a period of perceived peace. Unbeknownst to Ophiera, a rising power is spreading across Tanvik and, with it, a growing sickness, leaving destruction in its wake. As if disruption of her quiet retirement wasn’t burdensome enough, she is also tasked with escorting a hapless diplomat across the sea. Reckless, smug, and frustratingly charming, her new charge challenges more than just her patience.

As Ophiera confronts an unknown menace on the road, she simultaneously battles her suffered past while questioning the choices of those who command her. But regardless of shifting ethos and growing threats to her charge, her Oath must be upheld. She must protect him at any cost—even if the price is her own soul.
