The Aetherum Bound Two: Roots of Treachery

Elle has faced more opposition in the last year than any one being should. Even a demi-goddess. Yet, the fight for unification of the witches and fae must wage on. Elle is worried that she made a mistake bringing him back, but in the heat of the moment, there was no hesitation. His eyes are not the only thing that is different about him.

As the battle with Gaoth and Talamh wages on, Elle has more to worry about than Vaelric. Her attention is pulled in a million different directions. Betrayals run deep as the roots of a rowan tree. It becomes readily apparent that she is in way over her head. Her aetherum accidently opened the portals between realms, inviting unknown creatures through. But even through the battles and politics, a greater evil lies beneath the surface... closer than anyone realizes. Watching. Waiting.

It is easy to be patient when one has already waited millennia. Elle just needs more time. Time to help Vaelric, time to save the realm, the universe... but time is the one thing that slips through her fingers like water. The Fates can be cruel-- and they don't like when things do not go according to their design.
