I Am Not Afraid

He wakes in darkness.

Tied to a bed.

With no memory of who he is.

The woman standing over him calls herself Ihrin. She says she is his psychiatrist. She says he came to her for treatment. She says everything she does is for his own good.

But Filip remembers nothing.

Not his past. Not his face. Not the woman named Delia whose name flashes through his mind like a wound. All he knows is the room: the locked door, the weak bulb above him, the medical equipment surrounding the bed, the crucifix watching from the wall, and the strange doctor who starves him, shocks him, studies him, and whispers that he must not be afraid.

As days pass inside the isolated mountain house, fragments of memory begin to return. A name. A city. A disease. A hidden experiment. A silent patient trapped behind glass. A black cat with a spiked collar. And the terrible suspicion that the monster keeping him prisoner may not be the only monster in the house.

Because Ihrin may be cruel.

Ihrin may be insane.

But what if she is also the only person who knows how to save him?

I Am Not Afraid is a dark psychological horror novel about memory, captivity, medical obsession, fear, and the fatal moment when survival becomes indistinguishable from madness.
