About this Item

Dark blue cloth, spine lettered in red, front cover lettered in blind, upper edge stained red. Frontispiece & seven inserted plates. A blank label, a floral sticker, and a small ownership inscription on front end papers. A bright very good copy in a very good pictorial dust jacket, chipped at the spine ends and corners. Translated from the German original (published simultaneously), entitled "Afrikanische Geschichten". A second edition was produced in 1951; this 1938 edition is uncommon.
