Nine-year-old Agalya is on cloud nine―she’s been cast as Rapunzel in the school play! But her excitement quickly fades when her best friend, Prisha, turns against her. Prisha wanted the role too and can’t understand why Agalya, who loves gymnastics, suddenly cares so much about being a princess onstage.

About the Author

As a middle grader, Divya wrote her first book―then promptly forgot the password to the file. She has learned her lesson since and has now written four books. Her most recent title, Misfit Madhu, won the Neev Book Award and was featured on the Parag Honor List in 2023. Her other works include Dare Eat That (winner of the 2019 Gourmand Award), I Hate My Curly Hair, and Written in the Stars.

When she isn’t hanging upside down in an anti-gravity yoga class or chasing after her four-year-old, Divya is usually trying not to eat too much chocolate.
