Age of Oppression: Book 4 of the Bremmand Chronicles

There was much discussion that night from the older juniors, about whether the war was worth the price but, to Allin's surprise, it was Hugist who most staunchly defended the actions they were taking. "Rane and all the others died fighting for our freedom of us all; fighting for the true King and the holy bloodline. If you have to die, I can't think of a better cause and I'm proud to be fighting for it and to have my name linked with heroes like Rane. He died in honour and if we give up the battle now, just because we don't like the consequences, then we tarnish his memory." Allin reached out, put a hand on Hugist's arm and said boldly, "The records will show you as a man loyal to the King, Hugist Bennes. It will never be forgotten." As the long battle to regain the Kingdom, the Hidden Army has to face losses as well as wins. Only their loyalty to the cause holds them together. But when too much loyalty distorts the mission, it threatens to divide the camp and puts a rift in the strongest of friendships.
