Hardcover. Bound of blue cloth over boards with gold lettering on spine. Covers are clean with minimal wear. Facsimile dust jacket printed on paper, held in place by protective mylar taped on inside covers. Binding is tight and secure. Pages are in good condition; generally clean with some mild toning and light spotting. Deckled edges with some minor scuffs and scratches on fore-edge. Printed in B&W. 255 pages. Title page dated 1927. Copyright page dated 1927. Ex-Library; "Smithsonian Institution Libraries" stamped on title/half-title pages and front endpaper. Bookplate attached to front inside cover reads "Smithsonian Institution Libraries - Gift of The National Geographic Society." Previous owner's name (Chris Sterling) written in top corner on front free endpaper. A very nice copy. This volume comes from the Aviation collection of Prof. Chris Sterling. Sterling spent his lifetime teaching, writing, and collecting books on civil and military aviation. We are proud to house his Aviation collection, part of the extensive library which is his legacy. Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
If you'd like tracking, please let us know before you place the order - We're happy to do it but it costs $1 extra because it means we have to print a shipping label for it individually, slowing down the shipping process considerably -- and we want to be able to keep basic shipping costs as low as we can.
