A Good copy of a "First Day Of Issue" of a 8 cent Air Mail stamp to commemorate the purchase of the land what would become the state of Alaska. Scott #C70. Wear to envelope. Creasing to lower right corner of the front envelope. Staining to back of envelope. Stamp has a cancellation from Sitka, Alaska. On the left side of the envelope reads:"1867 1967: 100th Anniversary Purchase Of Alaska; from Russia 2 [cents] An Acre; Became 49th State Of The Union Jan. 3, 1959; Seward's Folly" by Artopages. There is an address in blue ballpoint on the front of the envelope and the flap of the envelope has been folded inside. To keep the envelope's shape, an index card is inside the envelope.
