Librarianship as seen and experienced through the eyes of one of its own. The field of Librarianship has altered so greatly within merely the span of living memory that impressive questions arise as to its place, its purpose, and its future in an increasingly competitive, assessment-driven, and profit-based environment. This book contains observations, commentary, and examples that support the idea that Libraries, and ever-increasingly the professionals providing services, resources, and support for and within these institutions, are as, if not more, needed and relevant as ever in today's social advocacy for Information Literacy.
