Alec discovers many further tasks to perform while working with the Power (The Power and who can invoke it?)

Alec Thompson was the son of Paul Thompson who, like his brother George Thompson and their family before them had somehow had the ‘Power’. His mother Jean Thompson and her family before had also had the ‘Power and it was believed that Alec, being from the union of two such ‘Powers’ would probably have even more than his parents had.
Alec did develop to have far more powers than anyone that they knew had ever had and eventually he and his girlfriend Susan Jackson became engaged. Susan went off to University but Alec (whose family had one of the most successful businesses in the town) remained at home to learn the business. His business though was developed using the many aspects of the Power and when Susan obtained her PhD they married and their business grew and grew. Much was demanded of Alec by the Power and he eventually met up with his old school friend Jack Bryant. Jack and his girlfriend Jennifer had been friends with Alec and Susan when they had all, as they became old enough, had obtained motorcycles and had formed a club. They all went out for rides together but after Susan had gone to University they tended to lose touch. Jack and Jennifer had had quite a rough start and had had little in the way of work and their life had been more or less on a downhill slope until Alec heard of them getting married. This was later, of course, as Alec’s business had continued to grow that brought Alec and Jack got back together with Alec and Susan arranging Jack and Jennifer's wedding. Alec also offered Jack work within his business.
Alec’s dad and his uncle George were able to take a back seat with their business as it grew even though they were the major shareholders. Alec’s dad managed this quite well but his uncle George found that he had no outside interest and had no easy way to adjust to this new lifestyle.
Alec And Susan communicated with the Power on several occasions and eventually Susan, although not having the benefits of the Power enjoyed by Alec became a major player in the workings of the Power.
