In good condition. Nicely bound. Some light scuffing to boards especially on leather. Light abrasions to head and base of spine. Five compartment spine with raised bands and gilt fleur-de-lis work. Beautiful marbled boards are scuffed with light ares of loss on rear board top edge. Marbled end papers. Text block is lightly toned along edges. Unmarked. Binding tight and intact. The occasional spot throughout. Please see photos. Printed by the Printer of his the George, Prince of Wales. As originally published in The Sun. 1st Edition. Sir James Bland Lamb, 1st Baronet was a British author and Member of Parliament. Burges served in Parliament as Member of Parliament for Helston from 1787 to 1790. He then served as Under-Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs between 1789 and 1795 before become a Baronet and Knight Marshal of his majesty s household in November 1795, where he played an important role in the coronation of George IV.
