Ali Smith : Contemporary Critical Perspectives

Monica Germanà is Senior Lecturer in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Westminster, UK. She is the author of Scottish Women's Gothic and Fantastic Writing: Fiction Since 1978 (EUP, 2010) and has published widely in the fields of contemporary fiction and popular culture.

Jeannette Baxter, Senior Lecturer in English Literature, Anglia Ruskin University, UK. She is the author of J. G. Ballard's Surrealist Imagination, and her recent co-edited collections include J. G. Ballard: Visions and Revisions (2012) and A Literature of Restitution: Critical Essays on W. G. Sebald (2013).

Emily Horton is Senior Lecturer in English at Brunel University, UK. Her research interests include contemporary world literature, specializing in trauma and affect theory, genre and popular fiction, and fictional explorations of globalization and transnationalism. Her monograph, Contemporary Crisis Fictions, was published in 2014, and she has also co-edited the following volumes: The 2010s: A Decade in Contemporary British Fiction, with Nick Bentley, Philip Tew and Nick Hubble (Bloomsbury, 2024); The 1980s: A Decade in Contemporary British Fiction, with Philip Tew and Leigh Wilson (Bloomsbury, 2014); and Ali Smith, with Monica Germanà (Bloomsbury, 2013).

Peter Childs is Pro-Vice-Chancellor Research & Scholarship and Professor of Modern & Contemporary English Literature, Newman University, UK. He has published widely on twentieth and twenty-first century fiction.
