She is Professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim, Germany, and lecturer and supervisor at several psychoanalytic institutes. Her work covers several areas including developmental psychology, attachment theory, clinical learning disabilities, affect regulation theory, psychodynamic psychotherapy and analytic self-psychology.
