Add to basketTwo faces, with the heads of two vultures above. Stylised wind and a lotus flower to the right. Woodcut on Japanese paper, sheet size 343 x 289 mm., image c. 170 x 245 mm. Made by John Rädecker and published in the Houtsnedenummer (Woodcut issue) of the famous periodical Wendingen in 1919 (year 2, nr. 7/8). It was printed by De Volharding and published by De Hooge Brug. John Rädecker (Amsterdam 1885-1956) was a Dutch sculptor, graphic artist and painter. He was active in Paris for a few years in the early 1900's, but returned to the Netherlands around 1914. In good condition, the left edge folded over. Some creasing in the edges of the very delicate paper.
