Alliances, Coalitions and Partnerships: Building Collaborative Organizations

Multistakeholder processes are now recognized as crucial public participation tools in a variety of fields, including health, housing, community economic development, transportation and more. Nonprofits in these fields are frequently being asked to collaborate with community and government but lack guidance for doing so. This book—outlining why and how to develop such organizations, how they can be most effective, and the special nature of power and leadership involved—is the only book available to facilitate this process.
