This Nicholson gem which, along with his LONDON TYPES and TWELVE PORTRAITS, represents the summit of Nicholson's art in this medium. The twelve sports, one for each month, are: Hunting (January), Coursing (February), Racing (March), Boating (April), Fishing (May), Cricket (June), Archery (July), Coaching (August), Shooting (September), Golf (October), Boxing (November) and Skating (December), each accompanied by a whimsical verse by Kipling.
