Almost A Groundhog: A Parable about Practice, Patience, and Becoming (The Almost Universe Series)

Almost a Groundhog is a parable about practice, patience, and becoming — told through the intertwined lives of a boy and a groundhog who grow up side by side without ever knowing why.

Phil practices golf with a joy he can’t explain. Shadno trains in the shadows with instincts he doesn’t understand. One learns through swings and putts. One learns through sunlight and earth. Their worlds never touch… until the day they do.

As February 2nd approaches, both boys face eighteen challenges — eighteen holes, eighteen obstacles — each one shaping them into who they were always meant to be. When their journeys finally collide in the winter sunlight, Phil and Shadno discover that becoming yourself isn’t about luck or magic. It’s about rhythm, repetition, and the quiet courage to grow.

A heartfelt story for kids and adults alike, Almost a Groundhog is a celebration of identity, tradition, and the small daily practices that shape who we become.
