Alms Giving...

This is the story of a girl. She was born into a poor family, a poor country, and an even poorer realm of opportunity. She toiled in the most desperate part of the world, where even dreams only reach to heights of satisfying barbarous hunger. Oppressed by a corrupt government, military and national police, her chances for meager fortune only lived in her mind. But she had courage, strength, and a resilience that can only be developed through combatting personal challenges. So, she fought…for an education, a better life for her family, and to keep alive her burning desire to live in a better world.

Troyon Dell was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, but now resides in Utah. He was inspired to write Alms Giving... after being moved by the main character's unbelievable accounts of childhood. Some of his influences are: Stephen King - masterful ability inviting readers into dark worlds that live in his works; C.S. Lewis - immerses the reader inside his philosophical prose; and, J.R.R. Tolkien - his incredible tales were some of Troyon's earliest discoveries of literary stimulation. He niche has been in the college textbook industry, but recently decided to compose novels. Alms Giving... is his first.
