14pp extract, printed in double columns, illustrated with 9 drawings, salvaged from a damaged issue of Harper's New Monthly Magazine, Volume LXX, #5, March, 1885. The Rio Grande river, New Mexico. Illustrations include the Old Mill at Albuquerque, remnants of an old Spanish building, Indian water-carriers, a view on the river below Rincon, Placita de la Glorieta, Isleta Gardens, a view of the Organos Mountains from Las Cruces, and a street scene in El Paso. Housed in protective mylar report cover with spine sleeve. Scarce.
