About this Alphabet Book
This alphabet picture book focuses on identification of lowercase letters and sounds, which are mostly used in reading and writing, and it is designed to introduce print conventions and develop Phonemic Awareness in early readers. "The Alphabet Book Of Lowercase Letters," links to Common Core State Standards (RF. P-K 1.2, 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2) and (RF. K.1, K.2, K.3, K.4).
Letter characters and colorful illustrations tell a story snippet which early readers are drawn to as they are prompted to notice, question and comment. Illustrations spark a discussion about favorite things, rainforests, volcanoes, African mud holes, animals, and kindness. A rich vocabulary is introduced in the sentences and is useful for clapping out syllables. A glossary is included.
