A very scarce illustrated volume for teaching children the alphabet, in French. A very scarce work in the publisher's original pictorial card wraps. A French guide for children learning the alphabet, illustrated throughout with engraved vignettes by Henri-D�sir� Porret. Included are pages on vowels and consonants, capital letters and lower case letters, and examples of French words for every letter of the alphabet. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original pictorial card wraps. Externally sound, with age toning to the wraps, and four small tears to the backstrip. Pages 3 to 10 and pages 15 to 22 are coming loose but are intact. The rest of the pages are firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot and handling mark. Good.
