If one night, in a dream, you were invited to go to Siberia to find and translate some mystical tablets, would you actually go?
Carol Hiltner did. And her beautifully written and illustrated journal is both an intimate diary and a rollicking travelogue. She not only deals with bears and lightning, but also with profound personal dramas: mother/daughter separation, rekindling of sacred sexuality, personal health, and crises of trust.
If you are a woman seeking Spirit, or a man who loves such women, this is a "must read" of the compelling real-life genre of Shirley MacLaine, James Twymann, Lynn Andrews, and Carlos Castenada.
This is the first book of The Altai Chronicles trilogy.
About the Author: Seattle native Carol Hiltner is a bona fide adventurer. As a young woman, she taught sports from skiing to scuba diving to sailing, and got married at the summit of Mt. Rainier.
During her long career as a graphic artist/desk-top publisher, she has helped initiate several international charities and peace-building organizations. During the same period, she also raised two daughters, re-built two houses, and studied piano.
Recently, she has contributed regularly to Spirit of Ma'at e-zine, exhibited her paintings internationally, and is completing her next book.
