With most of the chemical manufacturing industries using electricity generated from coal for heating purposes, the highly pollutive oxides of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur are becoming increasingly abundant. In view of this, attempts have been made to use alternate energy processes, with this book elucidating the use of microwaves, sonication and photo activation as alternate energy sources in a bid to minimise the level pollution.
