Item description from seller

Pine cloth, blue and color illus. dust jacket, 256 pp., many color illus. and BW drawings. Showcases select work of this California architectural firm. "Altoon + Porter treats context as an approach to the entire set of design problems. Rather than concerning itself with self-referential issues of style, Altoon _ Porter searches for the best possible relationship among buildings, people, and urban surroundings, from the point of view of human experience. For readers, especially those previously unaware of the technical and geographic range of the firm, this book documents the results of a fruitful search." (dj) Highly illustrated, as you may imagine. This copy appears to be WARMLY INSCRIBED BY RONALD ALTOON on the title page. VG- (Ex-art library, with i.d. marks on book block edges and outermost pages; otherwise clean; WARMLY INSCRIBED BY FIRM REP on tp.).

We have about 1000' of backlog in our specialties numbering over 30,000 items (including 20,000+ smaller and ephemeral catalogues devoted to individual artist exhibitions). Current stock occupies over 2.3 miles of shelving. We are active buyers as well as very active sellers, and supply entire reference libraries as well as individual titles.
