Always Stepping Forward: A Holistic look at the Process of Child Development

Understanding the development of your child can be a difficult and worrisome task. You may be wondering, “Is my child on track?” Set aside your thoughts on when and take a look at how development flows, as Dr. Jamie Mac Donald, OTD, takes a different approach in examining childhood development where age does not directly determine where a child’s development should be.

In Always Stepping Forward: A Holistic Look at the Process of Child Development, Dr. Mac Donald, OTD, takes a look at the different stages of development in the order they progress without incorporating age ranges so that parents and caretakers can feel confident in caring for and understanding the specific needs of their child. From the beginnings of human life to the nuances of play, this book offers insightful and necessary information that gives parents and caretakers peace of mind over their child’s growth.

Divided into categories that follow a specific sequence that correlate with each other, readers will be able to navigate through the piece with ease in order to find the area of development they are most interested in. Readers will be able to value and celebrate each developmental phase and can anticipate which one will come next by knowing what to look for, why it happens, and how it will present itself.
