Dieses interessante Buch richtete sich an Europäische Auswanderer und bot wertvolle Informationen über die landestypischen Bräuche, die Landschaft und vorallem die Verdienstmöglichkeiten. Die Gold- und Silberminen sollten schnelles Geld versprechen. Am Vorsatz ein photographisches Portrait des Präsidenten von Peru, General Andrés Avelino Cáceres. Er gilt in Peru als Nationalheld und war zweimal Präsident und wurde danach Botschafter Perus in Europa.
