Works included in this issue examine comparative american civilization, prehistoric remains for the Tunxis Valley, translation by C. B. Moore of work by Marquis de Nadaillac on inhumation and incineration in Europe, mortuary customs of Puget sSund Indians, and letters to the editor. The editor's department section mentions Franz Boas' ongoing projects in Siberia. The adds include an offer for a "Valuable Relic Collection Free, " "for the purpose of increasing the circulation, " - artifacts offered in exchange for new subscribers. A Brownie-style camera is advertised on the back cover, "Do your own Photo Work!".
