8vo. [3], iv-vii, [2], 2-149, [1], [36] (pages of publisher's advertisements) pp. Quarter green cloth over white pictorial boards printed in red, black, orange, yellow, blue, white, and green. An attractive publisher's binding. Jessel 409. An entirely new edition compiled and abridged from "The American Hoyle". First published in 1864, this is a later revised edition of the handbook. Jessel cites the 1880 edition as the third overall edition of this work. The color for the spine lettering rubbed away, boards' corners rubbed, just a bit of pencil marginalia.
