Dark green cloth boards have straight edges and pointed corners. Tipped in title plate on front board. Back board has visible water damage from the center to the upper edge. Spine is uncreased with straight edges. Title plate near head remains clear. Text block is square with toned foxed deckled edges. Binding is firm. 461p. Illustrated end pages have toning and foxing present. Personalized inscription on blank page following front fly leaf in black ink. Glossy tipped in portrait of Rutledge included just before title page with a tissue guard in between. Small tears a the top corners of a couple pages present. Interior is otherwise unmarked with black illustrations through out. Dust Jacket is extremely fragile. Chipped and bug eaten edges and along the fore edge. Large portion on foot and head are torn.
