General surface and edge wear to both volumes. Both have small tears in the corners of their spines. Both volumes have small tears around the edges of the covers. The bindings are creased with slight tilts. Pages show general signs of reader wear. A few pages throughout both volume have underlining and notations. Vol. 1 has writing on the edges of the pages. The top corner of the last page of the index in Vol. 1 has been torn out, taking a few lines of text with it. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.
