Tear and loss to bottom of page 97-98. Heavily inscribed, particularly by old-hand inscriptions and sketches at rear. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. A later printing of an American textbook designed by American editor and textbook publisher Caleb Bingham (1757-1817). Bingham is best remembered for his textbooks related to reading and oration, including The Columbian Orator.
