An American Toad Tale

Two unusual young toads arrive in Polly's Crossing, where their differences lead to an unexpected woodland adventure.

Deep in Polly's Crossing lives Shy, a clever and kindhearted Bigfoot who quietly shares the forest with its woodland inhabitants.

Life changes when two unusual American toadlets, Freedom and Glorie, arrive. With their lime-green coloring and wire-like hairs, the young toads look very different from the other American toads they encounter. Their arrival soon brings them together with Shy and Digger, an eastern chipmunk known throughout the woodlands for his ability to

excavate.

As their adventure unfolds, Freedom and Glorie discover that being different does not prevent them from finding friendship or having an important place in the woodland community. Along the way, the animals also encounter the effects that changes to the environment can have on the places wildlife call home.

An American Toad Tale, Book 4 of The Woodland Series, is a family-friendly woodland adventure about differences, friendship, wildlife and awareness for the natural world.
