Ammonia: Part I

Fertilizer production has become one of today's major chemical industries and is of critical importance in our rapidly developing world. The "Fertilizer Science and Technology Series" provides, in separate volumes, comprehensive coverage of the major branches of the industry, making available a reference library to which any worker in the field can turn for information.

Volume 2, in four parts deals with ammonia -- the leading raw material for nitrogen fertilizer production and a major finished fertilizer in itself. All aspects of ammonia production are examined, from the basic chemistry of raw materials and processes, to plant design and operation, production methods and equipment, and problems and techniques of use. Enough details are provided so that the reader can refer to this reference for specific answers to any questions he may have on his own work. Each chapter is written by a noted authority and the contributing authors represent a broad spectrum of expertise.

Ammonia is of vital interest to agronomists, chemists, engineers, technicians, and plant operators in the chemical and fertilizer industries.
