His highly aesthetic paintings show subjects that are often humorous and create a tension field between fantasy and reality. Ar (b. 1973) is an Israeli artist living and working in Berlin. His paintings of everyday objects, people, and street views seem alive; each stands out for its modernity and topicality. In his work with models and objects, he captures the essence of his subjects.
