"Amorphophallus Rivieri, Durieu" published by Louis Van Houtte (Belgium 19th century) Titled "Amorphophallus Rivieri, Durieu" below image. Common names are devil's tongue, voodoo lily, or konjac and is a native to the southern Himalayas and southeast Asia. "Pl.air. ete' XIX" below image. Circa 1864 - Volume nineteen. Lithograph - chromolithograph. "Off. lith. & pict. in Horto Van Houtteano" and "870" at left. Louis Van Houtte published a Belgium periodical for 40 years entitled "Flores des Serres et des Jardins de l'Europe" (Flowers of the Greenhouses and the Gardens of Europe) by Charles Lemaire and others. He had a printing office in the middle of his gardens. Paper size: 9 3/4" wide x 12 3/4" tall. Flattened fold down the middle. Matted: 14" wide x 18" tall. Very good condition.
