Jonny has waited his entire life to travel to Mount Frazen, the place where conjurers go to acquire special powers called amps. However, his journey takes on new meaning when his brother, Trent, is captured by a rogue conjurer named Adrian three weeks before his trip.

Adrian is the first conjurer to have ever reached the tenth temple on Mount Frazen. He did the impossible to acquire the most powerful amps in the world, and Jonny knows he'll have to do the same if he hopes to save Trent. But the mountain isn't the coming of age ritual everyone has always told him it was—it's a death trial. And making it home alive might be the biggest challenge of all.
