Pages crisp and clean except for a prior owner's name on the front free endpaper; binding leans gently to the right but remains secure; full cloth cover shows only modest shelf rubbing at corners and spine ends and a line of fading around the heel edges. Jacket is age-toned along the spine with two dark fingerprint-sized smudges and two pinpoint surface chips, a short closed tear at the top rear and some chipping around the spine head and top corners, and light handling prints front and back, but is overall sound, now protected in a clear sleeve. 218pp.
