Analyzing of Polyphenol Contents in Laboratory Process Laphet

Laphet, Myanmar traditional fermented pickled tea leaves is a name of one kind of tea using in Myanmar. Laphet also called a national food and signature of country that is consumed all over country. Over 90% of Myanmar families consumed tea in various traditional celebrations such as wedding ceremonies, engagement affairs, funeral and all other traditional ceremonies. As Myanmar proverb “serving by the donor’s laphet to gain favors” laphet is a vital item for traditional ceremony and involved a significant role in Myanmar society. Therefore laphet is very popular and essential in Myanmar culture as well-known proverb “Of all the leaves, Laphet is the best”.

Pyie Phyo Maung was born in Wuntho,Sagaing Division, Myanmar. Then graduated Bachelor degree of Biotechnology at Technological University (Kyaukse)(early called GTC-Kyaukse). Later got Master of Engineering(food Science) from Jiangnan University, P.R.China. Now still studying Ph.D(Food Biotechnology) at Mandalay Technological University, Mandalay).
