The Anatomy of Unity and Division

Most members of the Lord’s church have experienced division
within the church to some degree. On oneside, division brings
unpleasantness to each individual involved and their relationship
with other Christians. On the otherside, division affects one’s
relationship to God.
God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit maintain unity (oneness).
They desire this unity with each believer and for this unity
among believers. And, as is demonstrated by God, unity can be
achieved and maintained. What does this involve? What is required
of each individual?
Recognizing division and what causes it is important as well.
What leads to division? What corrections can one make to avoid
divisions?
In this study, Mark Pape examines God’s Word to address unity
and division. This study will focus on achieving unity and overcoming
division. Whether one pursues peace or causes division
will affect their eternal life, making one’s understanding of these
matters essential.
