These lines, from Clovis the Riparian, and from Fergus the Scot, trace the ancestry of sixty New England colonists (1623-1650) as far back as sound genealogical and historical data can be carried (i.e. to about 400 A. D), as well as from Cerdic of Wessex during the following century. Frequent intermarriages among the descendants of Charlemagne have made this extraordinary number of lines possible, yet all are contained with the 196 lines actually present here.
