Andre Sees Words Differently - Learning Differences (Dyslexia)

Andre Sees Words Differently is a gentle and affirming children's story about dyslexia, learning differences, and discovering strengths in unexpected places.

Andre loves building tall towers, wide bridges, and anything his imagination can create. He remembers stories easily and sees how things fit together in clever ways. But when Andre looks at words on a page, they do not always stay still. Letters flip, blur, and change places, making reading feel confusing and frustrating.

With patience, encouragement, and new ways of learning, Andre begins to understand that his brain works differently-not incorrectly. He discovers that seeing words differently does not mean learning less, and that his strengths matter just as much as his challenges.

Written in clear, child-friendly language, this story helps children understand dyslexia and learning differences while celebrating neurodiversity, resilience, and the many ways children can be smart, creative, and capable.

Andre Sees Words Differently is part of the Fearfully and Wonderfully Made series by Charlene Pinnock, a collection of stories designed to help children understand differences with empathy, kindness, and respect.

Perfect for classrooms, libraries, tutoring programs, and family discussions, this story encourages readers to recognize that every brain learns in its own way-and every child has something special to offer.
