A Story of Second Chances

This story was inspired by the life of the author's Irish aunt, Angela. Angela was an older woman when Georgia and her sister, Linda, travelled to Ireland and stayed for a few days with her and her spinster sister.

Angela told them that when she was a young woman, her beau left for America, promising to send for her. He did! But when Angela received his letter, her mother convinced her not to join him. She obeyed her mother, instead of her heart.

Georgia thought Angela's story was sad; a love lost tale. She wanted to give Angela a second chance at finding love.

About the Authors

Georgia Hunter is a Canadian author/artist residing in North Vancouver, Canada. She is a multi-talented and gifted visual artist working in a variety of mediums. She holds a degree from the University of British Columbia majoring in Fine Arts. Georgia is an award-winning sculptor. More recently, her life-long fascination with story swayed her to writing. Her second illustrated book TABHI which she wrote and illustrated won as a finalist at the Whistler Independent Book Awards. ANGELA is the most recent of three YA books.

Born in 1955 in El Salvador, Jose Ventura has drawn and painted as far back as he can remember. Graduating from the Art School, he worked several years at the National Museum while pursuing his painting. He studied several years in Mexico, then migrated to Canada and continued to paint.
