About the Author:
James Dillet Freeman, once called a "modern-day Transcendentalist" because his work and philosophy so closely resembled that of Emerson, Thoreau, and Whitman, is best knows as a poet who has been read literally by many millions of readers. Freeman has been published in The New Yorker, Saturday Review, The New York Times as well as Scientific Monthly and Reader's Digest, to name just a few magazines.
Born in 1912, Jim Freeman began writing verse at the age of ten. By the time he finished college, his poems had been published nationally. His affiliation with Unity began in 1929, by the invitation of Unity cofounder Myrtle Fillmore.
In 1984, Freeman retired from his positions to devote more time to writing and speaking. Jim made his transition in 2003, just a few weeks after his 91st birthday.
