The authors, Anita Avedian and Ingrid Caswell, are authorized trainers and supervisors with the National Anger Management Association (NAMA), as well as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists within California. They wrote Anger Management Essentials Teen Edition with an eye on designing a program that could be customized for every reader, focusing on the individual's primary areas of concern. Though the material in this book is most effective when facilitated by a certified anger management counselor, most of the lessons are self-explanatory and can be used as self-help exercises. The Teen Edition has 25 worksheets and materials so that a school, or counselor, can implement anywhere from a 4-week program (selecting the 4 core worksheets) to a 26-week program with the use of this book.
