With a frontispiece and numerous vignette engravings, this is a smart copy of John Bickerdyke's 'practical treatise on the various methods of angling for salmon and sea trout'. In a full morocco binding. A revised and enlarged new edition, with chapters including discussions of Thames trout, moorland trout and chalk-stream trout.Undated; date 1900 via Jisc. With the bookplate of Alan Thornton to the front pastedown, and a contemporary owner's inscription, dated 1905, to a front endpaper.With three pages of contemporary advertisements following the title page. In a full morocco binding. Board perimeters and back strips age toned. Front joint starting to tail, with board holding firm. Bookplate to front pastedown. Former owner's inscription to front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with only the odd spot. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 814F28
