Animal Farm First American Edition

A nice First American Edition of Animal Farm by George Orwell. Published and printed in 1946 by Harcourt, Brace and Company. Good condition with some signs of age or use. Some shelf wear or light wear around the edges. Slight fraying near corners and spine. Binding is starting but not fully shaken. Some minor foxing. One or two pages may have been folded. It feels like a book that has been read many times. Please refer to the photos and ask any questions prior to purchase. A great example of the First American Edition which was the first time the title appeared simply as Animal Farm. A solid addition to any collection. From Wikipedia: Animal Farm is a satirical allegorical dystopian novella, in the form of a beast fable, by George Orwell, first published in England on 17 August 1945. It follows the mistreated anthropomorphic farm animals of Manor Farm as they rebel against their human master, and hope to create a utopian society. However, the rebellion is hijacked and betrayed, and under the dictatorship of the pigs, the farm ends up in a dystopian state nearly identical to what it had been before.
