A decent hardback limited edition, but missing the dust jacket. With 50 plates (as called for), all of which are present. There is some rubbing to the bottom right-hand corner of the upper cover, and to the bottom left-hand corner of the lower cover, but otherwise the maroon boards are clean and crisp. There is some light rubbing and creasing at the head and tail of the spine. The gilt animal motif on the upper cover is clean and bright. Top edge gilt, with gilt title lettering to spine. There is some quite marked foxing to the opening and closing leaves (I have pictured examples from the beginning and end of the volume), with lighter foxing throughout which is confined mainly to the margins. The hinges and joints of this substantial volume (it measures 42cms X 32.5cms approx.) are sound and secure. Overall, a reasonable copy of this handsome limited edition, but with a couple of areas of rubbing to the boards, and some foxing within (especially at the beginning and end of the volume). Collated and complete.
