Anja's Reckoning

Two rulers. Two realms. Two sides of the veil. One reckoning that changes everything.

Anja's Reckoning: Two Tales Of The Veil is the second book in the Anja Trilogy, continuing the story begun in Anja's Awakening. Told through a mirrored pair of novellas, This installment reveals the hidden events, choices, and consequences that drive the trilogy forward. For the first time, readers witness the past through the eyes of the two most powerful forces shaping Anja's destiny: Deimos, the God of Terror, and the Fae King Oberon, The Angel of Death.

Part 1- The God Who Waited:

From the blood-soaked throne of the Realm of Terror, Deimos carries the weight of loneliness, duty, and a love he cannot speak aloud. When he meets a Mortal girl who disrupts centuries of stillness, he is forced to confront the truth about power, devotion, and the cost of letting someone in. His tale exposes the unseen history behind Anja's training, their growing bond, and the silent agony of her disappearance.

Part 2- The Mourning Root:

Across the veil stands a kingdom built on beauty, cruelty, and ancient law. Here, the Fae King watches shadows gather and fate tighten like a noose. His story uncovers the buried secrets of Anja's bloodline, the fractures between realms, and the decisions that ignite the coming storm. His grief, rage, and choices reverberate through Anja's life, shaping the path to where she stands now.

Together, these two intertwined tales form the heart of the trilogy's second act - deepening the mythology, expanding the stakes, and revealing the truths that will define the endgame.

This installment is a must read for fans of dark fantasy, mythic retellings, morally-gray gods, and slow-burn power couples.

Stevie Rector - From Bedtime Stories to Mythological EpicsStorytelling began as a quiet ritual-a way to bring fairies, dragons, tough princesses, and sensitive heroic princes to life for Stevie Rector's children at bedtime. With two daughters and a son eagerly awaiting new adventures, they wove tales of wonder, chaos, and transformation night after night.Their husband listened, encouraged, and eventually pushed Stevie toward something greater-fairy tales for adults. These stories carried the same magic but pulsed with deeper emotion, psychological tension, and mythological intrigue. Now, Stevie crafts worlds that defy the ordinary, stories where gods whisper, shadows breathe, and transformation is both terrifying and beautiful. Living in the quiet rhythms of West Terre Haute, Indiana, they revel in the contrast, finding inspiration in the mundane and spinning it into spectacular, faraway places filled with wonderful chaos and beautiful insanity.
