Annie Mouse's Second Route 66 Photo Journal: The Journey East (Adventure of Annie Mouse)

In this sequel to the original Annie Mouse's Route 66 Adventure: A Photo Journal, the fictional Mouse family travels the Mother Road from west to east, having new adventures, reuniting with friends made on their previous journey, and meeting new friends along the way. Annie Mouse shares her photographs and tales of the family's journey along Route 66 from California to Illinois, under the guidance of Cousin Penny, who also serves as the family's driver. The family learns the route never stays the same; there are always new adventures to be had and new things to learn about its history! This adventure was inspired by the author's many Route 66 trips and features her original photography.

Author Anne M. Slanina is a professor of early childhood education and literacy at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. During semester breaks she enjoys exploring historic areas on road trips across the USA, especially Route 66. Her books are written from the perspective of young children inspired by her experiences as a K-12 educator, mother and grandmother. Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, she received her Ph.D. from Kent State University and now resides in Western PA.
