Another Sea, Another Shore Format: Paperback

This powerful and timely collection gathers stories from a diverse group of writers from the Iranian diaspora. In an era defined by shifting borders and hybrid identities, Another Sea, Another Shore offers a distinctly Iranian perspective on displacement, exile, and the search for belonging.

The stories span continents and generations, exploring themes of memory, identity, gender, class, and cultural dislocation. Some evoke childhood in a homeland left behind; others grapple with the struggles of assimilation or celebrate the possibilities of life in new and unfamiliar places. Whether marked by loss, resilience, or reinvention, each piece speaks to the many ways Iranians navigate and reshape their worlds.

With contributions from both established and emerging voices—including Goli Taraqi, Nasim Khaksar, Mahasti Shahrokhi, and Mohammad Asef Soltanzadeh—this collection is introduced by a critical essay that situates Iranian literature within broader theoretical and literary frameworks.

Together, these stories offer a rich mosaic of experience and imagination, reflecting lives lived across borders and between cultures.
